About Me
👋 Hi, I'm Tanya, a freelance 2D / 3D game artist and illustrator based in Doncaster, UK. I specialise in game art, illustration and visual development (environment/ background art) for video games and animation.
Originally from Ukraine, Eastern Europe, I have a background in traditional art with a degree in Visual, decorative and applied arts.
Since 2014 I've been providing bespoke digital illustrations and game art assets to a wide range of international clients, from individual clients to small indie game developers and game studios.
Here are a few games on which I've worked full time as a generalist game artist:
My career in the game industry began with a junior role at one of Game Insight's studios in my home town. I worked there as an icon and UI artist mostly on casual mobile games. Since then, I've contributed to several indie projects. I designed and painted most locations for the adventure game "Foolish Mortals," and worked as a full time background painter for another adventure game "Broken Sword 5." I also worked as a UI and background / prop artist for Silver Dollar Games studio and I created a a series of game maps, props and backgrounds for "OFDP 2" game.
On my recent project, "Broken Sword 1 Reforged", I worked as a 2D animator and generalist artist. My role also involved creating 3D props for animation. This full-time position lasted nearly three years, during which I learned many new skills.
While my primary focus has always been on 2D art, I have been actively developing my 3D skills over the past few years. I'm constantly learning new techniques and skills to improve my work and I'm always excited to explore new ideas to push my creativity to next level, whether it's in 3D or 2D.
My passion for creating art is a significant part of my life and In my free time I work on my personal illustrations and projects.
I run a tiny Etsy shop (MyCatLovesMe) where I sell prints and gifts with my illustrations, check it out 😸
If you're interested in commissioning an illustration from me feel free to get in touch. I might not be available, but I'm always open for inquiries 🙃
